This week's Curtain Call podcast revisits a campaign we first heard about in our interview with Siubhan Harrison.
Equal Representation for Actresses (ERA) is fighting for gender equality in film, TV and theatre. In its own words it comprises "a collective of actresses have set out to challenge the British broadcast, film and theatre industry’s unconscious bias against women."
Curtain Call's John Schwab recently sat down with two ERA members, advocates and campaigners Polly Kemp and Jennie Matthews. The venue was the National Theatre, which recently committed itself to 50/50 representation on stage by 2021.
