Our main product is The Curtain Call Book, which combines photography and interviews giving a behind the curtains perspective on theatre.

The information we use and how we use it

Let’s address the biggie: we do not and will not sell your personal information. It’s that simple. There are some organisations with which we share that data out of necessity to perform certain functions within our business that allows us to provide you with services and products. We mostly store and use your personal information in the UK. Our customer relationship management system, our tool collaborations and storage for our operational documents are stored US. These suppliers commit to protecting your data to EU requirements by complying with the US-EU Privacy Shield.


Unless specified our other cloud-based service providers process personal information on our behalf within the EU.

Marketing and service emails

As explained under the Your Rights section, we may email you for different reasons. If we share information about our related products and services we are doing so because you provided us with your details leading up to or because you bought something from us.  But, if that’s not something you want then let us know: info@curtaincallonline.com. We may send you some emails relating to the features and functionality of the site and the service with the aim of benefiting your experience. 


Obligations to provide us with information

We require certain information in order to validate that your account so that we can protect the security of everyone’s data. For example, we ask for your email address when you claim or set up your profile so that we can validate the account ownership. However, you are under no obligation to provide us with information about your credits or other personal information for your profile. Our obligation is to make best endeavours to make your information public and searchable on our website. The more personal information you provide for your profile the more that profile will be useful to those searching for your talent and experience. You are in control of what you want in your profile on our site.


Profiling

In line with the practice of many websites, we use third-parties to undertake some profiling of your online behaviour by virtue of you accessing our site. This helps us to know which aspects of our website are helping our community the most in order to continually improve our service to you. As stated above you have the right to object to this profiling, however we may have to restrict or cease processing or delete your personal information altogether which may result in suspending the operation of your profile and the services we provide to you.


Credits information already loaded into your account

We preload information on performance credits for thousands of profiles so that when you come to claim your profile you will have less data to enter manually yourself. The credits are sourced from John Good Limited and publicly available theatre programmes. We do believe that this poses little to no harm to your privacy, as this information was meant to be made public by virtue of appearing in theatre programmes. However, you have the right to have that information deleted – just email us to make that request info@curtaincallonline.com


Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure with us and with third parties who act on our behalf. We undertake appropriate organisational and technical measures to protect your data.
