As a recent postgraduate from ALRA, I am officially entering the profession. Although I have dipped my toes a few times, as a guest presenter appearing on QVC, filming a TV pilot and appearing at RADA Studios in Social Notwork as part of the Camden Fringe. As a former drama and performing arts teacher in a secondary school, I love working with and for children and hope to continue that work still. My first professional job since graduating was as the lead in a short comedy, Tickbox, with 104 Films, which recently had its premier at the Edinburgh Film Festival. Since then I have worked consistently on student projects and short films, had a blast in a reduced version of Merry Wives of Windsor for children and returned to my former role of a teacher to perform in Labours, raising money and awareness for the charity, Contact a Family.
I collaborated with Second Circle Theatre for an immersive, verbatim piece about recovering alcoholics, called Meeting at 33, which was performed at the Edinburgh Fringe 2017 . Plus I managed to record a couple of voiceovers for Sean Turner's production of Talk Radio which played at The Old Red Lion in September 2017. Since Edinburgh, life has been a whirl. I have just finished a 3 week run of Richard III and am now playing Mother Christmas at Lapland UK. At the same time, I am rehearding for an immersive historical piece for Immercity, The Sillouhette in the Smoke, which lays out during January and February 2018 at London Museum of Water and Steam.
