Growing up, my favourite things were: art, music, dance and theatre. When I studied Design for Performance at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, the course provided me with a variety and combination of all of these.
It is exciting to be involved in a production and watch it unfold from page to stage. I enjoy being part of the practical process of design, construction and rendering, whether it is by making a model box or sewing garments.
My curiosity about the past, people and places, is channeled into the design process. From my early reactions to the text, through the design’s development and rehearsals to the final realised production – every stage of the process brings its own challenges and rewards.
