Best known for:
Motown the Musical
I love theatre and would love any part of bringing that experience to others.
Most recently I have worked for the Birmingham Hippodrome, dressing on the WNO production of War and Peace, before that my first job was with The Alexandra Theatre working as a dresser on Motown the Musical. These 2 jobs have taught me a great deal about the professional atmosphere in theatre and I found it very rewarding to work with the actors and crew and see the joy when they felt proud of their production.
The nature of my studies has prepared me well for a position such as this one. In the summer of 2018 I graduated from Arts University Bournemouth with a BA (Hons) in Costume and Performance Design and before that I completed my Level 3 Diploma at BMET College in Theatre Arts, so my education has been specialised towards theatre since the age of 16. As you can see from my CV I have gained experience both in university productions and at The Alexandra taking part in their annual Stage Experience, an opportunity for young acting and technical participants to put on a professional scale show to a paying audience. Even though my experience is in costume it has given my client based work which means I have customer service skills that can be transferred to different departments of the theatre and paired with a passion and appreciation of the work behind a production I think this makes me a great candidate to have on board.
I consider myself to be a friendly, enthusiastic worker. I am keen to learn and feel there is a great deal working within a theatre could teach me. I am a conscientious person and am proud to think I always do my job to the absolute best of my ability. I take pride in caring for the clients I work with and it makes me happy to see them enjoying a production like I do.
